Our Mission 

ABLE’s mission is to provide as many of Boston’s at-risk high school youth as possible with an opportunity to receive a high quality, high-expectations high school education, through the financial support and one-on-one guidance of a 4-year Sponsor. In doing so, ABLE strives to help disadvantaged youth earn their high school diplomas, and thus makes a direct and meaningful impact on their lives.

A new report from the Brookings Institution finds that Boston has the 10th largest test-score gap between low-income and middle- or high-income students out of all metro areas nationally. High school graduation rates are ~30% for students who are at-risk financially, academically or socially.
